Rotel RA 310 Integrated Amplifier

DESCRIPTION

Rotel RA-310 is a small integrated amplifier, Solid State as Rotel recommends. Simply designed, all controls easy to operate, nicely described.
Chassis is solid and quite heavy for such small box, front panel is made of thick polished aluminium, nice silver knobs feel reliable. Side panels are natural wood, top is sort of metal plate covered in rubber. On the rear panel you will find three inputs (Tuner, Phono for two types of players, and Extra can be CD, DVD etc, and a standard Tape loop).
Speaker connection is allowing you to hook up two sets of speakers, for quadro configuration, 8 or 16 Ohm. Inside we find small trafo, good quality capacitors by ELNA and four power amplifiers made by Hitachi in Japan. All together seams old fashioned but classy and has all that you will need for stereo or quadro configuration.

SOUND

Look is not everything, most important is the sound. In this area Rotel is powerful and simple on the other hand. It is not a complicated amplifier in terms of construction, same thing is about its sound. I would recommend speakers of 10 100W power not more.
